Can We Afford Rabid Religion in our Highest Offices?

Irrespective of your personal beliefs, true separation of Church and State is something we should all be focused on... daily.

So, here's one that should give you pause:

President Bush denounces gay marriage in address to evangelical Christians.

Marriage is a religious institution protected by the government, not a social institution acknowledged by religions.

Marriage is about family. Families involve children. Children are created through the act of sexual intercourse. Sex can only be had by two people of opposing gender.

Therefore, homosexual unions cannot be considered marriage any more than homosexual intercourse can be considered sex.
